This week's prompt is... Pure.
This week, think about what it means for something to be pure or impure. There are a lot of societal issues related to purity, so perhaps touch on these. Ex:
What does it mean to live a pure life? Does virginity equal purity?
Or perhaps you'd like to speak to more obvious displays of purity.
Ex:
Purism by Vona Groarke
The wind orchestrates
its theme of loneliness
and the rain
has too much glitter in it, yes.
They are like words, the wrong ones,
insisting I listen to sense.
But I too am obstinate.
I have white walls,
white curtained windows.
What need have I
of the night's jet-black,
outlandish ornament?
What I am after
is silence
in proportion
to desire,
the way music plumbs
its surfaces
as straight words do
the air between them.
I begin to learn
the simple thing
burning through
to an impulse at once lovely
and given to love
that will not be refused.

As always, be sure to include what inspired your piece in the author comments! Entries are due by (roughly) 12:00 AM EST, Friday.
There's only one more week in this round, so make your submission count!

This group. We could do something with it.
If you have an idea what don't hesitate to send me a note.
Happy holidays!
Week 3.3
This week’s submission should “educate” people in a different time period, past or present. To see what I mean, check out one of the following videos.
(As some of these videos can now be quite offensive, viewer discretion is advised.)

Week 3.2 Extention
Since there haven't been nearly as many submissions as last week, I'm extending the deadline for Week 3.2 to Sunday November 25th. Good luck!
Week 3.2 Prompt
Over the summer I got my hands on these photographs:

There is a very interesting story behind them, but I would like for you to write your own, whether through prose or poetry. Both women must be included in the piece in some way and you must include somewhere either the word or idea "report".
Entries must be submitted by 12 AM EST Monday, November 19th.
A lot of good stuff last week. (And early too!) Allow some time and I will be certain to comment on each / choose the piece that went above and beyond. Be sure to check out the Week 3.2 folder in the meantime.
P.S. If--and only if-- you participate this
