The Muse of Silence
Creep into the spaces,
shallow and rough within my head,
Make them deep, and smooth
like a sea-spewed pebble,
that suffered violence, but now is calm.
Grow hot and burn away the waters
seeping slowly from my brain;
Form a plug to hold in the muddy sands,
before they run down my spine to my feet;
Please, don't let those sands set like concrete,
like the urban feet that beat the path,
Don't let it trap me in the ways
it makes others unable to bear.
Find your way into my ears,
and down my throat,
and fill me up like a roaring sea air
inside a balloon.
Fill me up with silence, Muse.
